What the GAVR-20A Does
The GAVR-20A is a half-wave, phase-restricted thyristor-based AVR that forms part of the excitation system in a generator. Its job is to:
- Regulate generator output voltage automatically.
- Protect against under-frequency and voltage spikes.
- Provide soft-start ramping to avoid sudden voltage surges.
